Pain Awareness Month

September is Pain Awareness Month by the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP).

The IASP's goal is to raise public awareness around pain, pain management, and the work pain professionals do to help manage and eliminate pain.

They want to highlight that each person’s pain is entirely unique, which means your treatment plan should be unique as well. Your pain plan is curated by your experience with your pain and the input of the medical professionals in your care team.

During September we’re encouraging our patients to be transparent about their struggles with pain and pain management by using the hashtag #MyPainPlan on social media posts about their journey with pain. We believe by talking openly about your experiences with pain, the stigma surrounding pain and pain management will lessen. There may be more people in or adjacent to your life that cope with pain on a daily basis than you realize!

Pain management is QOMC's mission. We have so many treatment options to help you set up a pain plan, like chiropractic adjustments, physical therapy, and cutting edge interventions like joint injections, OrthoBiologics, and even medical cannabis. We've got your pain plan covered at QOMC!
